Pedometer – makes the daily exercise fun!
Walking is a simple way to stay in shape. It is gentle on the body, easy to do and is part of every day life like: going for the bus, walking at work or just going shopping. Walking is a natural part of the daily activities.
Taking 10.000 steps a day gives a good basis for fitness which, in turn, should create a platform for physical and mental well being.
How does a pedometer work?
A pedometer uses a sensor that registers every step you take. After having entered your stride length, the pedometer will calculate the approximate distance you have walked/ run during your trip/exercise. Accuracy depends upon accurate calibration of your stride length. The average stride length along the walk, should equal the stride length used for calibration. Remember to attach the pedometer on your belt etc at your hip for best results.
Accurate registration
The patented sensor technology in Silva’s pedometers gives an accuracy of more than 99%.
This makes for wider user applications such as running or walking in rough terrain with maintained accuracy.
